What is Boxing Random?
Boxing Random is a physics-based boxing game developed by RHM Interactive and released in May 2021, built around the same chaotic one-button formula that made Basket Random and Soccer Random so popular. Two stick-figure boxers face off in a match where the first player to land five knockouts wins, but almost everything else about each round changes randomly to keep things completely unpredictable from one fight to the next. The arenas shift between snowy mountaintops, sandy beaches, icy floors, and classic boxing gyms, while the boxers themselves may show up with unusually long arms, oversized gloves, rocket-powered fists, or completely different body proportions than the round before. Special power-ups also appear mid-match including rocket punches that let you knock out your opponent from across the ring without even getting close, and special pocket pouch rounds where a knockout punch can land anywhere on the body rather than just the head, completely changing how you need to approach each exchange. The game is available entirely for free in any browser with no download required, and is also available on iOS and Android for mobile players.
Controls
Boxing Random uses an extremely simple one-button control scheme where Player One presses W and Player Two presses the Up Arrow key, with touch controls available on mobile by tapping your side of the screen. Every single action your boxer performs — jumping, moving forward, and throwing a punch — happens simultaneously with a single button press, meaning the timing of when you press the button is the only variable you actually control. The ragdoll physics engine then takes over and determines exactly where your character ends up and whether the punch connects, which is what gives the game its chaotic and unpredictable character. Holding the button briefly before releasing can give you slightly more control over the direction your boxer moves, while short sharp taps produce quicker and more reactive movements that are better suited to close-range exchanges. Getting consistently good at Boxing Random is entirely about timing and patience, because players who spam the button constantly will almost always lose to those who wait for the right moment and press with purpose. The most important habit to develop is resisting the urge to attack continuously — pressing too often causes your boxer to lose balance and stumble unpredictably, leaving you completely open to a well-timed counterpunch from your opponent at the worst possible moment. Watch your opponent carefully and look for the moment when they lose their balance or are mid-recovery from their own punch, since those brief windows of vulnerability are when a single well-placed press can send them flying across the ring for a clean knockout.

Pay close attention to the environment every time a new round starts, since icy floors require much more controlled and deliberate presses to avoid sliding out of position, while bouncy or low-gravity arenas reward bigger jumps that carry your boxer further across the ring than normal. When a rocket punch power-up appears, always pick it up and use it strategically by waiting until you have a clear line to your opponent’s head rather than firing it immediately, since a well-aimed rocket punch is one of the most reliable ways to score a clean knockout from a distance without any of the usual physical unpredictability. Corner your opponent against the ropes whenever possible, since a boxed-in opponent has far less room to stumble away from your punches and is significantly easier to land a headshot on compared to an opponent with the entire ring to retreat across.
