Age of Tanks is a strategic tower defense game that thrusts you into an alternate universe where tanks have taken over and built their own civilization. It’s part history lesson, part base defense, and entirely addictive. The old Flash game Age of War has clearly been a source of inspiration — but Age of Tanks puts its own spin on the formula, tasking you with strategically dominating the battlefield to constantly upgrade your army and conquer enemies in an epic 1v1 battle. It’s the kind of game that looks simple from the outside but rewards patience and smart resource management over raw aggression.
What Is Age of Tanks?
In this strategic saga, you’ll lead your tank army through different eras, from the age of tanks to modern history. Your mission is to dominate the battlefield by positioning your tanks to fend off enemy attacks. Your tanks evolve and become stronger as you progress through the ages, starting from the Stone Age and advancing to the modern era — growing from primitive warriors to technologically advanced fighting machines. Your main task is defeating the opposing army and destroying their shelter. As the levels advance, so do the fortresses, making it increasingly difficult throughout the ages. Fighting begins with sticks and stones, but eventually turns into tanks and artillery. Controls: Age of Tanks Warriors is a one-click battle game, so the actual combat portion is fairly simple — use the left mouse button to interact with the game UI. On mobile and tablet, touch screen controls are supported. Don’t let the simplicity fool you though — understanding what each click does and when to do it is where the depth lives. You deploy your soldiers by clicking the small icon on the bottom right of your screen. Each unit type has its own cost and combat role, and the deployment menu is your most important tool in the game. Learning which icon corresponds to which unit quickly is essential — fumbling through the menu while your base is under attack is a guaranteed way to lose ground fast.

Tips to Dominate
Don’t throw troops at the enemy immediately. Let the enemy come to you, meet them on your terms, and your units will punch well above their weight. It’s best to deploy when the enemy is closer to home territory — you can defeat multiple enemies with one of your soldiers, so be skillful in how many you send out simultaneously and which ones. Hoard your resources and upgrade consistently — upgrade your tanks using resources like meat to improve their power and defenses. Watch your economy as closely as the battlefield. Collect as many coins and as much food as possible — this will help strengthen your troop. Otherwise it’s a bit difficult, as the opponent starts with an advantage. Adapt your strategy as the eras change, use the calm between waves to plan rather than relax, and treat every quiet second as preparation time rather than downtime — by the time the modern era rolls around, your fortress will be all but unbreachable.
