What Is Copter.io?
Copter.io, also known as Copter Royale, is an epic .io game in which you fly around in a helicopter and battle other players. It was made by Exodragon Games, the same developer behind Yohoho, an equally popular pirate battle .io game. The game combines some of the most popular .io mechanics with bullet hell style gameplay, only in this case the bullets come from actual players fighting each other online from various parts of the world. Players pilot helicopters in a battle arena where the objective is to defeat enemies, gather resources, and upgrade their helicopter to become the most powerful force in the game. The game blends elements of shooting, strategy, and progression, offering a thrilling experience for players of all skill levels. You can destroy enemy helicopters, drones, and tanks to level up, upgrade your skills to become stronger, and evolve your helicopter with snipers, multiple cannons, fast-shooters, grenades, and more, all with the ultimate goal of dominating your opponents to become the king of the arena.
Controls
In Copter.io you move using the W, A, S, and D keys, aim and shoot with the mouse, and trigger special abilities with the E and X keys. You can also use the arrow keys to move as an alternative to WASD, and the mouse button or up arrow key to shoot. The right mouse button or E key and the middle mouse button or X key are used for special abilities. The control scheme is straightforward and easy to pick up within your first match, keeping the focus on combat and strategy rather than complex inputs. The Escape key opens the game menu where you can adjust settings or exit the game. Getting good at Copter.io is all about smart upgrading, knowing your class, and staying mobile throughout every match. When you first join a game, shoot at drones and tanks and prioritize maxing out your player speed early, as this gives you the ability to chase down enemies or escape dangerous situations. Killing an enemy or an AI vehicle grants you experience points that can be used to upgrade multiple stats including movement and shooting speed, health regeneration rate, and other helpful characteristics. Eventually you will be presented with a choice of vehicle class, and armored, sniper, fast-shooting, and tri-gun copters all affect your playstyle in different ways.

One of the strongest class paths is the Destroyer build, which takes you through Tri-gunner and then into Penta-Gunner with bonus upgrades along the way, giving you five giant fast-moving high-damage shots in an arc while keeping you tanky, fast, and with good health regeneration. If you prefer a more tactical approach, the Assassin path through Sniper gives you the ability to two-shot almost every enemy, a larger field of view, and the ability to slip away in a cloud of ink that only you can see through, though it comes with a very low fire rate. No matter which class you choose, staying mobile at all times is one of the most important habits to develop, as keeping moving makes you a much harder target and keeps you ahead of opponents who are trying to lock onto you. Using obstacles and terrain to your advantage to hide from opponents and plan your attacks is equally important, and upgrading your helicopter in ways that complement your personal playstyle will always serve you better than following a generic build.
