Sora AI is Getting Better!
Actual Story: ChatGPT, one of the biggest AI companies out there dropped Sora, a amazingly realistic video making software that can make fake videos so well, people can’t tell real videos from fake videos. These videos have been circulating the internet faster than ever.
Hyper’s Opinion: “I have experienced the most amount of junk floating around the internet a person could ever see. Some videos have made me pause and think, “Are these legit?” because the quality is so good, its scary. I wouldn’t doubt if fake political videos will start roaming the internet because of Sora. The only thing that’s telling us its fake is the watermark.”
Amazon Web Services Is Down!
Actual Story: This week, AWS (Amazon Web Services) was down and impacted the giant apps and websites that run on AWS like Fortnite and Roblox. 1000-2000 services were slammed with the classic 404 error, jamming profit and costing millions. This impacted everyday users to the web too like web developers and advertisers causing panic among the web.
Hyper’s Opinion: “I couldn’t do basic things on the internet like going to code gave me the infuriating 404 error. Luckily, Google unsurprisingly wasn’t affected which made it easier to manage the crisis, but it still was challenging to dodge the error firewall on my favorites. Luckily, I don’t use services like Snapchat or Reddit so I was fine.”
